Chic Picnic is a fun pieced orange peel type design without the fuss of templates or appliqué. All curved seams are pieced using the easy no stress method Sew Kind of Wonderful uses in all their designs Cut, Sew, SquareUp. This quilt works up fast by using layers cutting and chain piecing techniques.


Supply List:

Quick Curve Ruler (available for purchase in class)
(84) 10” x 10” assorted prints
OR
(21) 1/3 yard cuts assorted prints cut into (84) 10” squares

  • 4 3/4 yards background fabric
  • 4 1/2 yards backing
  • 2/3 yard binding
  • Chic Picnic pattern - included in class fee
  • basic sewing supplies and thread to match project
  • cutting mat and 45mm rotary cutter
  • 8” or larger square-up ruler

For class you will not need to bring all of the fabric. The goal will be to make 2-4 complete circles. Please bring at least (30) of the 10” squares and 1 1/2 yards of background fabric. This will ensure enough variety in fabric when completing the project.
