Winter Quiltfest

Plan to have a great time!

Many women look forward to Winter Quiltfest all year because they know it's a fun and relaxing time to do what they love. We think you'll enjoy getting away from day to day life for time to catch up with your friends and relatives while you work on some fabulous projects!

Our next retreat is January 26-28, 2017!

Tentative Schedule

Day 1

Quilter Check-in (1:00-2:15 Pm)

Let the fun begin! Check in with us first at 1:00 pm and stay for our opening ceremony, then get settled in your hotel room between 2:00-2:30 pm. The location of the event is Riverwoods Conference Center (and SpringHill Suites) in beautiful Cache Valley (Logan, Utah). Don't worry, parking is free and there will be carts available to help with the loads.

You made it! Now let your cares melt away and have a great time.

Afternoon Class (2:30 PM - 5:30 PM)

Each day we have a variety of classes. You'll need to register to attend a class. The class entrance fee is included in any of our package deals. All our teachers are experienced and so friendly! You will love learning from them and making new friends. Most of our teachers are locals from Utah.

Dinner (6:00 PM - 7:30 PM)

We don't just eat amazing food at dinner. We supplement it with great gifts too! Expect some creative and cute table favors from our sponsors as well as door prizes. After dessert, we always have a fun evening activity that range from make-n-takes to trunk shows. This is often our quilters' favorite part. Then the time is yours.

Thursday's Night Activity

Tired from a long day of travel and quilting? Take a soothing dip in the hot tub before snuggling up in your cozy queen or king size bed. If you'd prefer, you are welcome to open sewing until midnight.

Day 2

Get up whenever you want! Sleep in a bit so you'll be refreshed or get up early and head to the gym and pool for a nice pick-me-up.

Morning Class (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

From the hotel, you can take the connected hallway over to the conference center. You won't even have to step out into the cold before you set up and get ready for some great instruction.

Lunch (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM)

We believe a good quilter runs on good fuel! The food is divine! Enjoy a savory, catered meal. Take a look at some of our past culinary pleasures in our galleries from 20142015, and 2016. We'll have a variety of foods throughout the retreat. Each meal, we'll have wonderful options for you to pick your favorite.

Afternoon Class (2:30 PM - 5:30 PM)

Every class is so worth the time and effort. Remember, you're not required to take a class during any of the slots, but you may regret it.

Dinner (6:00 PM - 7:30 PM)

Our meals are all catered by the Elements restaurant, which was recently voted as the best place to eat in Logan. And don't worry, if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, we accommodate. There is something delicious for everyone. During dinner we also always give away prizes!

Friday's Night Activity: Trunk Show!

Take the rest of the night to work on any projects during open sewing until midnight. Or maybe you'd like to get out and explore some of historic Logan city before hitting the sac.

Day 3

We always look forward to the last day of Quiltfest. Not only is there always something fun going on, but we also give out our best prizes.

Hotel Check-out (No later than 11:00 pm)

Morning Class (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

Typically, our final day is our most popular. If we know a class will be very popular, we try to provide a repeat course for those unable to make the previous days.

Lunch (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM)

Afternoon Class (2:30 PM - 5:30 PM)

Finish off with one last amazing class.

Dinner and Goodbye (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)

This is always such a fun time! Enjoy one last scrumptious meal; but before you go, let us fill your bags with wonderful gifts and prizes too.

Saturday's Night Activity: Show n' Share, Raffle, Prizes!

During this final meal and goodbye party, we'll give away some more door prizes. We then invite all past Winter Quiltfest attendees to Show and Share their past projects they have finished over the past year. Each time you show a finished project from a previous retreat, you get one raffle ticket. This Show and Share drawing is for a prize from the next year's featured teacher. Last but not least, we raffle the grand prize—the coveted "Candy Quilt"—created by Amy Maxfield, your Quiltfest Director and experienced quilter of 35 years.

Our hope is, that by the end, you'll be exhausted from all the fun, yet ready to head back to your life with a joyful spirit and a few new spectacular quilts in your bags.
