Log Cabin Blossoms

Taught by Linda Christensen

Log Cabin Blossoms

64" x 64"

Log Cabin Blossoms is an original design by Linda Christensen.   Traditional log cabin blocks with a flower basket center creates the perfect wall hanging for any home.  Class attendees will learn several important piecing techniques: traditional piecing, chain-sewing, needle turn applique, curved piecing, and border design.  A second quilt version is included with the pattern.  Version #2 has 16 Log Cabins in the center with some fussy cutting if desired.  There will not be any applique on the second version.  Don’t you just love 2 for 1’s!!

Linda used her stash of brightly colored fabrics for a scrappy look and this quilt can help you use up your scraps or trade with class members.  But you can color coordinate your fabrics if desired.    The Log Cabin block traditionally has a red center, but Linda used a cherry pink center for a little twist.  We’ll all be a little “twisted” as we have fun making our cabins and filling the center of our quilt with flowers.
